DiversEarth

Liza Zogib is founding director of DiversEarth, an international NGO working at the interface of nature, culture and spirit. DiversEarth works with faith based networks and religious leaders to protect, manage and restore sacred sites and find new and more profound ways of approaching nature conservation. She also coordinates the work of the Mediterranean Consortium for Nature and Culture – a gathering of 6 organisations, which supports and celebrates the threatened cultural practices of the the Mediterranean Basin that benefit nature. Prior to setting up DiversEarth, Liza worked for over a decade with WWF International in Switzerland on technical and policy issues related to protected areas and landscape conservation, coordinating WWF’s social policies and responses on poverty, indigenous peoples, gender and human rights.
