CIHEAM Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh)
She completed her Degree in Biology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1993 and her M.Sc. at CIHEAM Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) (Department of Natural Products, Option: Conservation and sustainable use of plant diversity). Since 2000, she has been working as Researcher at the Mediterranean Plant Conservation Unit (MPCU) and the laboratory of Analytical Chemistry of MAICh.
She is involved in all actions of the MPCU of MAICH (seed bank, botanical garden, herbarium), a unit dedicated to the study and conservation of Mediterranean plants and to supporting educational and research activities of the M.Sc. programs of MAICH. With regard to plant conservation issues (ex situ and in situ), she has long experience with the implementation / coordination of national and EU funded research and cooperation projects.
