Teresa Gil Gil

Biologist specialized in Mediterranean plant conservation and protected areas management. Since 2015 she is working in the Ecosystem Department of IUCN Med supporting the coordination of the project “Conserving wild flora and habitat for people in the south and east Mediterranean”. Before joining IUCN she has worked at the Millennium Seed Bank (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) supporting the coordination of the project “Ensuring the survival of endangered plants in the Mediterranean”. Previous to her international career, Teresa has been working for more than ten years for Spanish regional governments as Natura 2000 expert and developing research projects focus on promoting the integration of plant conservation into protected areas management.
